Wood Cremation Urns

A brand new range of wood cremation urns will be made in Australia and become available shortly.

This is a process in the making that has taken nearly 8 months of planning.

These will be handmade near Melbourne, Australia and manufactured by an experienced and trade qualified woodworker. These will be available to anyone around Australia posted directly to use using Australia Post. I will also have range of different shapes and sizes made form different timbers.

About Me

My name is Joseph and fell in love with woodworking at an early age while at School. I then went on to do an apprenticeship. My tafe course consisted on making all sorts of furniture using a number of different techniques. I am a pedantic woodworker have a focus and emphasis on quality and to make sure that the final product delivered to you is a beautiful piece.

Material Options

These wood cremation urns will be handmade using Australia’s finest timbers which includes:

  • Blackwood

  • Vic Mountain Ash

  • River Gum and a few others.

In some cases I may use American Maple where its required. This is a hard wearing beautiful piece of timber that is white in appearance and contrasts well with Blackwood and spotted gum.

Special Finishes

No commercial lacquer finishes will be used for a number of reasons the main one being the plastic look it gives the finished product. Our products will be finished using a blend made by me that brings out the features gives it a striking natural look in a matt finish.

Internally and underneath the urn itself these will be finished with a felt finish. The colours will be available in Black and Burgundy.

Custom Made to Suit

I can custom make these to suit your needs. Ideally a sketch with some sizes is needed and can consult with you the types of materials to use. The colour of the finished product will also depend on the type of woods that will be used. Other considerations to consider is the size of your urn.

If you need something custom made pls contact me with sizes and a hand sketched design with what you need.
